The Gulfstream G800 is the private jet with the longest range: 8,200 nautical miles (about 9,400 statute miles) nonstop, according to Gulfstream. The Bombardier Global 8000 is close behind at 8,000 nautical miles, followed by the Gulfstream G700 and the Bombardier Global 7500. Each can link almost any two major cities without a fuel stop: New York to Hong Kong, Los Angeles to Sydney, or London to Singapore.

The longest-range private jets, ranked

The range map above draws each jet's range from your city, and the ranked table sorts them by range, seats or speed.

Ranges are the manufacturers' published figures for business jets in production, at their stated conditions: for the Gulfstreams and Globals, Mach 0.85 with eight passengers and three or four crew and NBAA instrument flight rules reserves. In development and not ranked: Dassault's Falcon 10X (7,500 nautical miles announced). The Gulfstream G650ER (7,500 nautical miles), no longer in Gulfstream's lineup, is still widely flown and chartered; see its operating costs.

What each range reaches

RangeReaches nonstop (in still air)
5,300–5,900 nmNew York to Dubai (about 5,940 nm) at the top of the band; Los Angeles to Tokyo (about 4,730 nm) comfortably
6,400–6,600 nmLos Angeles to Hong Kong (about 6,300 nm); Los Angeles to Sydney (about 6,510 nm) at the limit
7,700–8,200 nmNew York to Hong Kong (about 6,990 nm) with margin; Los Angeles to Singapore (about 7,610 nm)

Published ranges assume a set load, a long-range cruise speed and still air. With a full cabin, a westbound headwind or a faster cruise, the practical range is often 10% to 20% shorter, so operators plan the longest trips case by case. Gulfstream, for example, gives the G700 7,750 nautical miles at Mach 0.85 but 6,650 at Mach 0.90.

1. Gulfstream G800: 8,200 nautical miles

The G800 pairs the wing and engines of the G700 with a shorter cabin, trading floor space for fuel range. Gulfstream gives it 8,200 nautical miles at Mach 0.85, or 7,000 at Mach 0.90, room for up to 19 passengers and a cabin altitude of 2,840 feet at 41,000 feet. It entered service in 2025.

2. Bombardier Global 8000: 8,000 nautical miles

Bombardier's flagship, in service since December 2025, flies 8,000 nautical miles and is also the fastest private jet in service, at Mach 0.95. Its four-zone cabin seats up to 19.

3. Gulfstream G700: 7,750 nautical miles

The G700 has Gulfstream's largest cabin, with up to five living areas, and flies 7,750 nautical miles at Mach 0.85. It is one of the most expensive jets to buy and operate: see the G700 operating costs and the most expensive private jets.

4. Bombardier Global 7500: 7,700 nautical miles

When it entered service in 2018, the Global 7500 had the longest range and the largest cabin of any purpose-built business jet. It flies 7,700 nautical miles and remains one of the most common ultra-long-range jets on charter. Global 7500 operating costs.

5 to 10: the 5,300 to 6,600 nautical mile jets

The next tier, from the Gulfstream G600 and Global 6500 (6,600 nautical miles) down to the Falcon 6X (5,500) and Gulfstream G500 (5,300), covers most intercontinental trips from the U.S. East Coast to Europe and the Middle East, and from the West Coast to Asia. They cost less per hour than the flagships, and the Falcons' three engines (8X) or wide cabin (6X) appeal to particular missions; the Falcon 8X can use shorter runways than most jets of its range.

What an ultra-long-range jet costs

Published jet card rates for ultra-long-range jets run about $18k–$19k an hour. Owning one costs about $3.49 million a year to operate at 200 flight hours for the median model in CRAFT's cost model, before the purchase price; the operating cost league table ranks every model.

For many trips you do not need this much range. A super-midsize jet such as the Challenger 350 crosses the U.S. nonstop and reaches the Caribbean and Mexico at a fraction of the hourly cost; how far private jets can fly compares every class.
