The Gulfstream G800 is Gulfstream's longest-range jet. It carries up to 19 passengers 8,200 nautical miles at Mach 0.85, and 7,000 nautical miles at its Mach 0.90 high-speed cruise, with a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.935.
Two Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines give it 18,250 lb of thrust each, the same engines as the G700. It cruises at up to 51,000 feet and needs 5,812 feet of runway at maximum takeoff weight.
A new, typically equipped G800 lists at $80.4 million (Business & Commercial Aviation's 2026 Purchase Planning Handbook). In terms of hourly cost, chartering an ultra-long-range jet like the Gulfstream G800 costs about $18,000 to $19,000 a flight hour on published hourly rates for the class.

Gulfstream G800 Cost Overview
The cost of owning a G800 falls into two parts. Fixed costs are paid whether the jet flies or not: crew salaries and training, the hangar, insurance, management and other overheads. Variable costs scale with every flight hour: fuel, maintenance, engine overhaul reserves, and landing, handling and crew travel fees.
We don't publish a cost estimate for the Gulfstream G800 yet. No fuel burn we can cite: the manufacturer publishes no average and Conklin & de Decker's published averages don't list it. For a guide, the median ultra-long-range jet in our model costs about $1,713,437 a year in fixed costs and $8,865 a flight hour, or $3,490,937 a year flown 200 hours. Compare every model we estimate.
Its fixed costs (crew, hangar, insurance, management) are driven by its size class more than by the model, so the class figures above are a fair guide to them.
G800 vs G700 and G650ER
The G800 sits between two Gulfstreams buyers usually weigh it against:
- G700: the same engines and top speed, with a longer cabin and 7,750 nautical miles of range. The G700 lists at $84.9 million new.
- G650ER: Gulfstream's previous longest-range jet. It is out of production, so it is bought used. See the G650ER vs G700 comparison for its numbers.
Its closest rival outside Gulfstream is the Bombardier Global 8000: 8,000 nautical miles, Mach 0.95, and a longer cabin.
How we estimate these costs
Every figure on our ownership-cost pages comes from one model, built the same way for each aircraft from public inputs: crew pay from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, fuel burn from the manufacturer or Conklin & de Decker, one Jet A price from our jet fuel price data, and stated estimates by size class for hangar, insurance, training, management and maintenance.
Why there is no estimate for the Gulfstream G800 yet: No fuel burn we can cite: the manufacturer publishes no average and Conklin & de Decker's published averages don't list it. We would rather leave it out than fill the gap with a guess or another company's figures.
