How it works

How chartering with CRAFT works.

  1. Step 1: Send the trip

Route, dates, rough timing, how many people. That is enough to start. The planner above walks through it, or call the desk and talk it through.
  2. Step 2: We price it against the fleet

Not against a rate card. We look at where our aircraft already are that day, how the crew duty limits fall, and what the airports at both ends charge.
  3. Step 3: You get a firm number

A real price for that specific trip, not a range and not an estimate that moves later. Accept it and the desk arranges payment directly with you.

Pricing

What goes into your quote.

There is no published hourly rate here, and that is not evasiveness. An hourly number quoted before anyone has seen your itinerary is a guess. These four do most of the work.
01Where the aircraft already is
An aircraft that has to fly empty to reach you costs more than one that is already nearby. This is the single biggest swing in any charter price, and it is why the same route quotes differently on different days.
02Crew duty limits
Part 135 caps how long a crew can work. A schedule that runs past those limits needs a second crew or an overnight, and that shows up in the price.
03The airports at both ends
Landing, handling and ramp fees vary enormously between a quiet regional field and a slot-controlled major. Peak dates at popular airports cost more again.
04What you want on board
Snacks, soft drinks and liquor are on every flight. A flight attendant or catering beyond that is arranged with the trip and priced with it.

Range

Where the Challenger goes.

We fly North America, the Caribbean and Central America from our base at Opa-locka Executive Airport (KOPF) in Miami. The Challenger 300 covers about 3,000 miles nonstop and the 350 about 3,200: the United States coast to coast without a fuel stop, or Miami to most of the Caribbean with room to spare.

The aircraft can also use airports an airline cannot. Landing at the small field twenty minutes from where you are going, rather than the international ninety minutes away, is where most of the time saving in private aviation comes from.

Who flies you

The Part 135 operator of five Challengers.

Every CRAFT trip flies on one of our five Challenger 300/350s: the same aircraft type, the same crews and Starlink on every tail. You deal with the desk that schedules them, so when plans move, the answer comes from the people who can move the aircraft.

CRAFT holds its own FAA Part 135 certificate, operates its five Challengers, maintains them in house and employs the crews. When your plans move, the people you call are the people who can actually move the aircraft.

Flying often enough that quoting every trip gets tiring? The Fleet Jet Card buys hours at published rates, fuel and FET included, on a Challenger every time.

How much does it cost to charter a private jet with CRAFT?

There is no rate card, and an hourly number quoted before anyone has seen your trip is a guess dressed up as a price. Each quote is built against the itinerary itself: where the aircraft already is, how the crew duty limits fall, and what the airports charge at both ends. The same route can price differently on two different days for reasons that have nothing to do with you. Send us the trip and you get a firm number rather than a range.

How far ahead do I need to book?

For charter there is no minimum. Book as far ahead as you can and you get more choice of aircraft and departure time, but short-notice trips are routine here rather than a favor. The Fleet Jet Card has three callouts: Planner (five days, base rate), Priority (72 hours) and Express (48 hours). Inside 48 hours, card trips fly as available.

Can you fly today?

Often, yes. Same-day departures are something we do rather than an exception we make, because we operate the aircraft ourselves: we can see where each one is and which crew is legal to fly it without calling anybody else to find out. If the trip is today or tomorrow, skip the form and call +1 (310) 848-3636, and you will get a straight answer quickly either way.

Who operates my flight?

CRAFT does. We hold our own FAA Part 135 certificate, operate the five Challengers, maintain them in house, and employ the crews who fly them. When you call, you are talking to the people who schedule the aircraft and crews.

Where do you fly?

North America, the Caribbean, and Central America, from our base at Opa-locka Executive Airport (KOPF) in Miami. The Challenger 300 flies about 3,000 miles nonstop and the 350 about 3,200, which covers the United States coast to coast without stopping. The aircraft can also use small airports, so you can usually land nearer to where you are actually going than an airline would take you.

How many passengers can fly?

Nine on a Challenger 300 and eight on a Challenger 350. A flight attendant takes a cabin seat, so a 300 with one on board seats eight. For a group larger than that we can put more than one aircraft on the same trip.

How do I pay?

Payment is arranged directly with the charter desk once you have accepted a quote. There is no instant checkout on this site, and you should never send card or bank details through a form here. If you receive a message asking you to, it did not come from us.
