Private jet charter, explained
Private jet charter (people also call it private jet rental) means hiring an entire aircraft with its crew for your trip. You pick the airports and the departure time, nobody else is on board, and you pay for the aircraft's time rather than by the seat.
With CRAFT, that aircraft is one of our own five Challenger 300/350s: a stand-up cabin for eight or nine, Starlink on every tail, and about 3,000 miles nonstop. We are the operator, not a broker, so the people quoting your trip are the people who schedule the aircraft and employ the crews.
Operated by CRAFT CHARTER, LLC, an FAA Part 135 air carrier.
How a quote works
Pricing
One way, the way the planner prices them: flight time at ~$12,950 an hour, including 7.5% FET and repositioning. Each route page also compares every jet size and published jet card on that trip.
| Route | Flight time | One way, estimate |
|---|---|---|
| Miami to New York | 2h 30m | $29,000โ$37,500 |
| New York to Palm Beach | 2h 25m | $28,000โ$35,500 |
| Miami to Nassau | 40m | $8,000โ$10,000 |
| New York to Aspen | 3h 50m | $44,000โ$57,000 |
| Los Angeles to Las Vegas | 45m | $9,000โ$11,500 |
| New York to Los Angeles | 5h 15m | $61,000โ$78,000 |
Estimates, not quotes; your quote confirms airport and handling fees. Any two cities: charter cost calculator.

Fly It First

Range
We fly North America, the Caribbean and Central America from our base at Opa-locka Executive Airport (KOPF) in Miami. The Challenger 300 covers about 3,000 miles nonstop and the 350 about 3,200: the United States coast to coast without a fuel stop, or Miami to most of the Caribbean with room to spare.
The aircraft can also use airports an airline cannot. Landing at the small field twenty minutes from where you are going, rather than the international ninety minutes away, is where most of the time saving in private aviation comes from.
Who flies you
CRAFT holds its own FAA Part 135 certificate, operates its five Challenger 300/350s, maintains them in house and employs the crews. Every trip flies on one of them: the same aircraft type, the same crews and Starlink on every tail. When your plans move, the people you call are the people who can actually move the aircraft.
Flying often enough that quoting every trip gets tiring? The Fleet Jet Card buys hours at published rates, fuel and FET included, on a Challenger every time.*
If a CRAFT Challenger is unavailable for a confirmed trip, we may arrange a comparable aircraft. Terms

Hiring a whole aircraft and its crew for your own trip: your schedule, your choice of airports, and nobody else on board. Private jet rental is the same thing. You pay for the aircraft's time, not by the seat. With CRAFT, the aircraft is one of our five Challenger 300/350s and the company you book with is the one that flies you. Operated by CRAFT CHARTER, LLC, an FAA Part 135 air carrier.
On a CRAFT Challenger, about $25,900 as an estimate: two flight hours at ~$12,950 an hour, including 7.5% FET and repositioning. Airport, handling and segment fees are confirmed in the quote, which replaces the estimate with a firm number. Across the market, a 2-hour flight depends mostly on jet size.
Fill the seats, fly the smallest aircraft that makes the trip nonstop, avoid peak days, and be flexible on time so the operator can use an aircraft already nearby. Empty legs can price well below a normal charter but fly on someone else's schedule. If you fly 25 hours or more a year, a jet card fixes the hourly rate in advance.
Not through an airline checkpoint. You drive to the FBO (the private terminal), the crew checks your ID, your bags are loaded and you board. Arrive about fifteen minutes before departure. Flights abroad clear customs and immigration at an airport of entry.
It isn't expected: CRAFT's pilots are our own employees. If you want to thank a crew, a note to the charter desk reaches them.
There is no rate card, and an hourly number quoted before anyone has seen your trip is a guess dressed up as a price. Each quote is built against the itinerary itself: where the aircraft already is, how the crew duty limits fall, and what the airports charge at both ends. The same route can price differently on two different days for reasons that have nothing to do with you. Send us the trip and you get a firm number rather than a range.
For charter there is no minimum. Book as far ahead as you can and you get more choice of aircraft and departure time, but short-notice trips are routine here rather than a favor. The Fleet Jet Card has three callouts: Planner (five days, base rate), Priority (72 hours) and Express (48 hours). Inside 48 hours, card trips fly as available.
Often, yes. Same-day departures are something we do rather than an exception we make, because we operate the aircraft ourselves: we can see where each one is and which crew is legal to fly it without calling anybody else to find out. If the trip is today or tomorrow, skip the form and call +1 (310) 848-3636, and you will get a straight answer quickly either way.
CRAFT does. We hold our own FAA Part 135 certificate, operate the five Challengers, maintain them in house, and employ the crews who fly them. When you call, you are talking to the people who schedule the aircraft and crews.
North America, the Caribbean, and Central America, from our base at Opa-locka Executive Airport (KOPF) in Miami. The Challenger 300 flies about 3,000 miles nonstop and the 350 about 3,200, which covers the United States coast to coast without stopping. The aircraft can also use small airports, so you can usually land nearer to where you are actually going than an airline would take you.
Nine on a Challenger 300 and eight on a Challenger 350. A flight attendant takes a cabin seat, so a 300 with one on board seats eight. For a group larger than that we can put more than one aircraft on the same trip.
Payment is arranged directly with the charter desk once you have accepted a quote. There is no instant checkout on this site, and you should never send card or bank details through a form here. If you receive a message asking you to, it did not come from us.
