The method
How a CRAFT trip estimate is built
- 1
Flight time
Great-circle distance ÷ a typical block speed for the jet size, plus taxi, climb and descent. New York to Miami on a super-midsize jet: about 2h 30m.
- 2
× the published rate
CRAFT's Fleet Jet Card · Challenger 300/350 rate: $12,950 an hour. Nothing else is added.
- 3
= the estimate
About $32,400 one way. Before peak days and fees; the company's quote is the real number.
Short hops cost more than their flight time: published minimums across programs run 48 to 120 minutes a leg, and some bill per day (CRAFT's card: a 2-hour daily minimum, no per-leg minimum). Routes under 1h 30m are flagged below.
