The method
How a Concord Private Jet trip estimate is built
- 1
Flight time
Great-circle distance ÷ a typical block speed for the jet size, plus taxi, climb and descent. New York to Miami on a midsize jet: about 2h 35m.
- 2
× the published rate
Concord Private Jet's Jet Card · e.g. Hawker 800XP rate: $7,850 an hour, plus the 7.5% tax it says is added. Nothing else is added.
- 3
= the estimate
About $21,600 one way. Before minimums, peak days, fees and surcharges; the company's quote is the real number.
Short hops cost more than their flight time: published minimums across programs run 48 to 120 minutes a leg, and some bill per day. Routes under 1h 30m are flagged below.
