Embraer Lineage 1000 Ownership & Operating Costs

The Embraer Lineage 1000 is a VIP airliner business jet that was produced between 2009 and 2013.

With space for up to 19 passengers, the Lineage 1000 is able to cruise non-stop for up to 4,500 nautical miles (5,179 miles / 8,334 km) and has a maximum cruise speed of 470 knots.

When new, the Lineage 1000 had a price tag of $53 million. Today on the pre-owned market the Lineage 1000 has an average value of $22.5 million.

We don't publish a cost estimate for the Embraer Lineage 1000 yet. No fuel burn we can cite: the manufacturer publishes no average and Conklin & de Decker's published averages don't list it. Compare every model we estimate.

Lineage 1000 Fixed Cost Breakdown

When it comes to fixed costs, there are six criteria that have been identified as the biggest contributors to the annual cost of operation.

These costs are crew salary, crew training, hangar, insurance, management, and then the additional, miscellaneous fixed costs.

Lineage 1000 Variable Cost Breakdown

Variable costs are those that change depending on the usage of the aircraft. Variable costs can be broken down into hourly chunks.

This, therefore, results in an hourly variable cost figure. This figure is the cost per hour that the aircraft is flown.

There are five factors that we have built into the hourly variable cost figure. These values are the cost of fuel, maintenance, engine overhaul, crew, landing & handling fees, along with other various costs.

All these variables are proportional to the number of hours flown. For example, the more you fly the aircraft, the more fuel it will use.

How we estimate these costs

Every figure on our ownership-cost pages comes from one model, built the same way for each aircraft from public inputs: crew pay from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, fuel burn from the manufacturer or Conklin & de Decker, one Jet A price from our jet fuel price data, and stated estimates by size class for hangar, insurance, training, management and maintenance.

Why there is no estimate for the Embraer Lineage 1000 yet: No fuel burn we can cite: the manufacturer publishes no average and Conklin & de Decker's published averages don't list it. We would rather leave it out than fill the gap with a guess or another company's figures.
