Aircraft comparison
Bombardier Challenger 350 vs Bombardier Challenger 3500
The 3500 is the 350, updated: the same Honeywell HTF7350 engines, 200 nautical miles more range and a new cabin. It replaced the 350 in Bombardier's line-up and entered service in 2022. The same figures as our ownership cost guides, side by side: cabin and performance first, then what each aircraft costs to own and fly.
What's different
- Same engines
- Both fly on two Honeywell HTF7350s, 7,323 lb of thrust each, and both cruise up to 45,000 feet. The 3500's top speed is Mach 0.83.
- Range
- Bombardier publishes 3,400 nautical miles for the 3500 (four passengers, NBAA IFR reserves) against 3,200 for the 350.
- Cabin
- Both seat up to 10 passengers at their published maximum. Bombardier gives the 3500 a 4,850-foot cabin altitude, and its launch added a voice-controlled cabin and wireless chargers throughout.
- Price
- About $29.5 million new at 2026 list prices for the 3500; a pre-owned 350 averages about $22 million. No published fuel burn covers the 3500 yet, so the cost table shows the 350's estimate only.

Ownership and operating cost
Fixed costs are what the aircraft costs before it moves: crew, hangar, insurance, management. Variable costs are charged by the hour flown. CRAFT's own estimates, built the same way for every aircraft from public inputs; the real figures depend on how and where you fly.
No estimate for the Bombardier Challenger 3500 yet. No fuel burn we can cite: the manufacturer publishes no average and Conklin & de Decker's published averages don't list it. We leave it blank rather than guess.
